Join Shelly Benson, president of the California Lichen Society, for a lichen walk at Olompali State Historic Park. We’ll explore the lichens around the old ranch buildings, rock walls, and orchard—a great spot to see the California state lichen (lace lichen, Ramalina menziesii).
There are some picnic tables where we’ll have lunch and then continue on our way around the 3-mile loop trail.
Directions: Exit Highway 101 at Atherton Blvd. and follow posted directional signs to the park.
Parking fee is $8/vehicle, payable by credit card only.
