Join Point Blue staff and Marin CNPS volunteers to remove invasive plants in the Hamilton Baylands restoration area. We will be weeding non-native or invasive plants in designated zones where native plants have been planted and are being monitored. This work is part of an ongoing project to restore tidal marsh and seasonal wetlands at the former Hamilton Army Airfield. Learn more about the Novato Baylands Wetland Restoration Project. We always have a good time at these restoration parties!
Please bring: water, sun protection, long pants, sturdy closed-toe shoes, layers. Point Blue will provide all tools and gloves, plus extra water and shade tents in case of heat.
Strong rain storm will cancel: leader will message via Meetup if the event is canceled. There will be a porto-potty near the work area.
Directions: We will meet at the Nursery facility (address below) and then carpool to the weeding location.
