Native trees and shrubs of a Novato neighborhood – for beginners

Ever wonder what trees are native in your neighborhood? Join Stacey on a walk around the Marin Highlands, a hilly neighborhood surrounding open space in northwest Novato. This area has many native oaks, bays, and buckeyes, as well as native shrubs. We may even see a late blooming wildflower! We plan to walk the hills via roads but if hills aren’t your thing, shuttling by car is an option.

 Directions: Meet at the corner of Blanca Drive and Roca Ct. in Novato. We plan to end by 11:00 a.m. to beat the heat.

Bring: Water, sunscreen, hat.  Field trip limit of 10.
